I’m an industrial automation engineering contractor that can offer over 9 years of experience of work in DCS/Safety field. During that time I gained not only technical knowledge but also learned how to find creative solutions to problems.
I can also call myself an experienced traveler. My work so far gave me an opportunity to perform my duties not only in cozy offices in France but also on both off-shore and on-shore gas installations in Netherlands as well as at farther destinations like Angola or Siberia. In many cases I wasn’t directly supervised and I had to work with clients to see my project to successful completion.
I love challenges and learning new things. Always try to look for ways to improve processes under my care and come up with creative solutions to issues that appear during my work.

Yokogawa Belgium – Safety and Distributed Control Systems Commissioning
Project: Ajinomoto Omnichem (6 months)
Industry: Biopharmaceutical
Prepared modifications to the safety system:
- removal of obsolete elements
- implementation of 10+ new IOs
- build up of logic
- setup of communication with DCS
- performed FAT with client. Project was GAMP compliant.
DCS work was consisting of making corrections based on outstanding punch items and results of tests with client. Took care of documentation tracking changes and work being done.
Project: Syngenta (2 months)
Prepared modifications to existing installations on client’s side, for a chemical company. Integration of DCS and Safety system controlling loading and unloading of TDI and MDI isocyanates from the truck bay to the tanks and further up the production stream.
Was in charge of:
- IO definition (~130 IO points)
- Design of HMI UI screens for operators
- Implementation of interlock logic
- Creation of sequences that were loading/unloading product
- Design of interface for newly incorporated parts of the system
- Troubleshooting Safety system before FAT

Yokogawa Germany – Safety and DCS Commissioning
Project: ZapSib 2, Tobolsk, Russia (6 months)
Industry: Oil refinery / polypropylene production
Polypropylene production plant. Implementation of modifications to both DCS, Fire & Gas and Safety system of the plant. Design of several new templates of logic for 200+ motors. Coordinated workload within team consisting of multiple nationalities from different contracting companies. Consulted client on the solutions to be implemented in the system. Troubleshot the system when technological issues occurred. Providing support to the client’s commissioning team during start-up of the plant – including investigation of incidents.

Yokogawa Netherlands – DCS Consulting
Project: BP West Nile Delta (6 months)
Performed Factory Acceptance Tests of Modbus communication with a client, ensuring integrity of a project and compliance with a design. Was also in charge of implementing modifications contained in mod packs requested by customer.

Project: Shell Grasbrook Lubricants Center (6 months)
Industry: Automotive oil production
Worked at Shell oil production facility in Hamburg, Germany. Responsible for preparation of modifications to the system – mainly control logic, I/O and graphics adjustments. Conducted functional tests and implemented changes to live system. Software: Centum VP 5

• Designed and implemented (Application/Hardware/Software) modifications/upgrades and expansions, as agreed with client and make them ready for site installation.
• Designed and implemented modifications/upgrades and expansions resulting in cabinet, rack layouts, software etc., as agreed with the client and make them ready for site installation.
• Supervise and/or execute site installation, modification/upgrade, and if applicable commissioning and/or performing Site Acceptance Test, completed with customer authorized documents of acceptance. Take timely corrective actions if needed.
• “Fast and adequately” supported customers in line with the agreed contractual obligations, resulting in a correctly functioning instrumentation/equipment/system/application and satisfied client.
• Executed maintenance activities (remote, preventive, shutdown and health check) resulting in healthy systems and maximized instrumentation/equipment/systems/applications and satisfied customer.

• SITA Teesside Energy from Waste plant – Preventive Maintenance
• Lakeside Energy from Waste plant in London – Upgrade of the system from Centum CS3000 to Centum VP.
• Wytch Farm – conducting FAT with client and modfications in DCS and Safety System
• South Hook LNG Terminal – phase 1 of upgrade of the project. Troubleshooting issues after shutdown.
• Eastham Refinery – Preventive Maintenance; fixes to the Alarm Management system.
• Leman platform – commissioning of new jacket and hand over to client.
• SSE Atwick Gas Storage facility – commissioning.

Modification of existing projects required by maintenance work being done on site (both logics/signal transfer and HMI)
- Upgrade of outdated Yokogawa systems being used in production
Assembly and preparation of equipment for FATs and iFATs - Commissioning systems on site – mainly offshore gas platforms on the North Sea but also onshore sites in Netherlands (Groeningen province)
- Providing support for the customer and keeping in contact with other commissioning engineers to ensure compatibility of communication
- Design of PLC logics and HMI screens
- Preparation of work packages for gas platforms expansion

Work offshore:
- Barque PB (England) – installation and commissioning of new Koss Skid.
- Lima 15 – implementation and commissioning of gas sampling module.
- Preventive maintenance and incorporation of communication to Clampon.
- Lima 05 – upgrade to Centum VP and expansion with a new Tie-in jacket (creation of HMI screens, implementation of control narrative, system consisted of 3 compressors) , addition of F&G graphics. Removal of Double flowlines.
- Foxtrot 3 – performed maintenance work on existing system. Incorporation of communication to Clampon.
- Leman Alpha – commissioning of new jacket (implementation of punch items, assistance to start-up of platform’s subsystems).
Work onshore:
- NAM Coevorden 24 – small modifications on existing pump system.
- NAM Grijpskerk – assistance to the start-up of the plant. Troubleshooting of remaining problems after upgrade to Centum VP.
